Biography

Timo Strattner is a principal investor and financial executive with extensive experience across global capital markets and complex financing structures. He serves as Director of the Strattners Family Office and Chief Executive Officer of Strattners Bank, where he oversees the disciplined deployment of long-term family capital into select private and public market opportunities.

Mr. Strattner’s professional formation was significantly influenced by his academic mentorship under Professor Pierre Bultez, a globally recognized authority in anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, corporate governance, and risk management. During this period, he developed a rigorous foundation in institutional risk governance, regulatory frameworks, and strategic capital deployment. He also collaborated with Professor Bultez on engagements with major financial institutions and central banks, and contributed to academic research including Risk Management: New Tools(2009) and Microfinance as a Tool to Mobilize Savings in Growing Countries: The Case of Thailand (2011).

Throughout his career, Mr. Strattner has led and structured a number of significant transactions across international markets, including the largest initial public offering in Australian history for an Irish issuer, the structuring of Asia’s largest equity line facility, and the leadership of multiple publicly listed companies as Chief Executive Officer. Under his stewardship, Strattners Bank has been recognized for excellence in structured finance, including being awarded Best Debt Trading Firm.

Mr. Strattner is also the author of several publications on capital markets and corporate strategy, including China Capital Markets: Lifting Restrictions on Foreign Investment and The New Era of Conglomerates. His book Dealmaker is regarded as a practical reference for Asia-Pacific enterprises pursuing listings on major U.S. exchanges.

His work is characterized by disciplined capital allocation, long-term orientation, and institutional governance. Mr. Strattner continues to focus on building enduring value across market cycles, guided by the principles of stewardship, prudence, and continuity.
